Email Servers

We can host your email whether you have a dedicated server or are on a shared server. Your IMAP and SMTP details are here.

Hosted Domains on Shared Hosting

If you don’t have a dedicated server but we definitely host your email then these are the instructions to follow.

We operate a cluster of servers for shared hosting of customer email, with a load balancer in front to spread customers across them.

Webmail

Head over to https://mail.faelix.net/ and you should be able to log in there. Make sure you type your full account name (which looks like an email address) as the username.

IMAP and SMTP

If you have an email client (Outlook, Mac Mail, Thunderbird, etc), then the settings are as follows:

Receiving

Server type
IMAP
Server hostname
mail.faelix.net
Server port
993 (with SSL/TLS enabled)
Username
your full account name, which looks a bit like an email address: myself@example.com

Sending

Server type
SMTP
Server hostname
mail.faelix.net
SMTP port
change this from 25 to 587 (with SSL/TLS enabled)
Authentication
required (same details as to receive email)

Email On Your Own Server

If we host a dedicated server for you then these are probably the instructions to follow.

Many of our customers’ dedicated email servers are managed by MOOSE, so these settings will be similar for those users. What will be different is the name of your server.

Webmail

Head over to https://hosting.example.com/roundcube/ (replace with your own server) and you should be able to log in there.

Secondary MX

We operate secondary.mail.faelix.net as a “store and forward” mail relay for customers. Please make sure that you’ve let us know about any domains that you want us to accept and forward on to your server before you point your DNS here.
